Personal experience.

I love the beaches on the Gulf and love being a beachcomber. I notice that each beach along the Gulf has it's own type of shells that are prevalent on that beach. In the middle of winter you can walk the beach in shorts, a great place for exercise while listing to the sounds of the Ocean and feeling the warm sand underfoot.  During the Christmas season it is beautiful to see the parade of boats that sail down the canals all creatively lighted like Christmas trees with a great variety of created designs. Plus lots of fun food, a very unique way to celebrate Christmas Eve. Shopping is Great in the relaxed atmosphere of S. W. Florida. Another unique experience is New Years celebration where you dine in an outdoor Patio, that is SPECTACULAR to me since I had been spending winters in Vermont and I grew up in Missouri.

If you love golfing, fishing, beaches, all kinds of water fun and great shopping, then this is the perfect climate for you, with lots of other things to do as well. No more shoveling snow. I have personally seen this lot and the golf course, and can tell you that it is a beautiful place to call home. Claudia.
